review// JOICO K-PAK RECONSTRUCT SHAMPOO

I'm back again with a review!

I'm really guilty of this, but do any of you just totally ignore your hair? Like sure you buy something for it occasionally, but just use whatever shampoo/conditioner you have around?

I'm like that. I focus on the after shower treatments like trying not to style with heat so often, and getting a leave-in treatment [reviews on that one later]

But now I realize recovery starts from the very beginning. Starting with your shampoo.

INTRODUCING MY LIFE CHANGER:

Item Description:

The Joico K-Pak Reconstruct Shampoo ensures the reconstruction process of your hair using a unique cream foundation enriched with Joico's exclusive Keratin Silicone Complex. It features a balance of 19 essential amino acids that are considered to be the building blocks of hair. The shampoo adheres quickly and effectively to ensure maximum protection and restoration from the cuticle to the cortex. This color safe shampoo also retains and protects the color of your hair. It provides the hair with sufficient elasticity, strength and shine. The damaged hair shampoo must be applied to wet hair to create a rich lather. For optimum results, repeat the process after the first rinsing. The Joico K-Pak shampoo is the ideal for treating damaged hair.
Joico K Pak Reconstruct Shampoo:
  • 10.1 fl oz.
  • Specially made for damaged hair.
  • Color-safe.
  • Imparts elasticity, strength and shine to the hair.

  • At work, Halloween .Just after dying my hair brown! It's dry at the end and tangles super easily. You can see the ends being quite frizzy.

The day after I first used K-PAK shampoo. Texture is much smoother and though it looks frizzy, those are just fly-aways from the wind. Ends are much better and overall my hair is smooth!

My hair type is coarse, dry, and super super thick. Basically the top 3 worst hair types combined into one. My good friend who does my hair absolutely hates when I come in asking for color done. lmao

She says I have enough hair on my head for 2 people.
    [It's that bad]

For the shampoo, the instructions are easy. Lather rinse repeat.
The consistency is thick and super easy to use throughout your hair. Lathers easily and rinses out clean but gentle. My hair doesn't tangle as much in the shower. It's also much quicker to blow dry and my hair is smooooth once it's all dry.

So this is a definite repurchase and I'm eyeing the conditioner/treatment set.

I will pamper my hair from now on, I promise. Especially since I want to go lighter~

BLACK MILK// der kuss dress reviews // 6 Month ANNIVERSARY

2 days ago I celebrated our 6 month anniversary with my boyfriend.

I don't think I've ever mentioned on the blog because life has been so hectic but the friend I mentioned a while back was really there for me when my last relationship ended. I was miserable and didn't know what to do with myself or anything in my life really, and he was there. I didn't expect anything to happen ever but it turns out to be a happy ending.

Here are some photos my friend Sukhraj of Sukhraj Bhattal photography took for us! He's amazing and if you're in the Vancouver area and want to have him take photos for you, I highly recommend it. Sukhraj is versatile and can take portrait/glam/cosplay photos easily. He's often taken my cosplay pics at cons too ehehe.

We celebrated earlier in the week with a nice dinner and went clubbing for our friend's birthday whose event was the same day L O L

I think I've outgrown clubbing though. It's so tiring. My old body had to drag itself into work the next afternoon and I suffered orz|||

I have so many new things that I budgeted myself for.
;A; So happy to have these in my possession at last.

I managed to grab the Black Milk dress [my first one] during their anniversary sale so everything was 20% off!

If anyone knows me, they know Klimt is my favorite painter and I love 'The Kiss'
I even did one of my art final projects on him, trying to emulate his style. Ahaha.
It's so inspiring to have a painting of his on my body. Even if it's only a print dress.

    *A*

Black Milk has rave reviews from other bloggers so I had to see what the fuss was about.
The fabric is amazing. I'm not very curvy, but this dress has a way of accentuating the good and glossing over the not so awesome parts of your body!
    LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I have instagram now too! follow me @ rundevinrun

My beautiful friend Hannah took these photos. She's a model in Vancouver and does some work regularly. Gorgeous girl, gorgeous photos, gorgeous soul <3

Recent gets//quick reviews! [MAC studio careblend, eBay purchases, Fairy Drops Scandal Queen Waterproof Mascara, Solone 30 sec smoody pencil]

I've been so busy with my part time job and trying to enjoy the last of summer that I've almost completely forgotten about this blog!

I guess all I can say is that I'm happy with where I am, and who I'm with.

I've been buying little things here and there to add to my makeup/wardrobe.

This eyeliner formula is soooo smooth and so vibrant. Perfect. Even if my eyes water or I rub them a little they stay put. This swatch was just one pass. IMAGINE.

    I bought these here.

I use them so much for everyday and they really bring life to my eyes even when I'm tired ehehe~ I use it often for cosplay a lot too since it's sooo bright and light catching.

Needed a new powder/foundation to set my makeup and it's been amazing. Even better than my MUFE Duo matte powder I used to use. This is much kinder to my skin skin and doesn't clog my pores. Goes on super light so not much coverage but still nice!
I'm wearing the MAC powder and the gel liners in this pic :> Also I love my new spiked headband. I wear it as often as I can. It just adds that certain touch to an otherwise neutral outfit~

I also took advantage of Sasa having a free shipping event to grab Fairy Drops mascara because I've been wanting to try it for ever.
So far it's treating me well! Sometimes it flakes a tiny tiny bit but it's nothing I can't handle since my heroine mascara also flakes. But I must say the length is AMAZING from Fairy Drops. I was not disappointed. It also holds a curl fairly well. AND WATERPROOF.

Crazy length on my sparse and super straight lashes!!
And see what I mean about the payoff on these smoody pencils? Super nice.

The boyfriend also bought me these suuuuper cool tights! Sorry for the weird angle but it captured the kirakira ness! They are so unique and I've never seen a design like that before! I'm so grateful he bought these for me. Even if I wasn't willing to spend yet more money on my tights addiction orz||||

They were a very reasonable price and haven't torn yet!

Until next time when I can review more things! :>

    days are passing by

So much has happened since I last posted.
I'm happy but it's such a crazy rush.

I went to Fanime, a very large convention in California where I reconnected with friends from Sakuracon and also made new ones. It was an amazing time and I definitely want a repeat next year!
I went camping with my family and my sister and I both brought our s/o's haha.
I'm been drawing like crazy, trying to get prints done for a local convention.
I've also been feeling a bit self-conscious and withdrawn. I need to get out more! A day downtown with friends I haven't seen in a while would be nice.
I think I'll just picture spam some outfit posts/random pics until I can think of something to say more.

photo credits to...probably Anthony. WHOEVER WASN'T COSPLAYING.

The other Karina was so sweet and really fun to chat to! Wish I'd gotten her contact info.

The rest are photos taken BY me from camping haha.

Massive Circle Lens review// Dolly+ Red, Kimchi Bambi Blue, Geo Princess Mimi Apple Green

Ho there! It's been a super long while!

Graduation kept me on my toes and it was a hectic ride but finally I'm done and ready to get my name out there and hopefully get a studio job this summer! Can't give up!

But in the meantime, here's some seriously belated reviews.

First up are my new green lenses.

The package from Lens Village arrived super quickly!

Came with a free lens case and bubble wrapped nicely~

    With Flash

    Without flash.
Overall the color is pretty natural and doesn't stand out too much. But in the right lighting, it really pops~

    Vibrancy : 4
    Comfort: 5

They're also amazingly comfortable for their size. I can't even feel them in my eyes once I pop them in. I can't wait to keep wearing them.

Out of the three, this is the comfiest pair of lenses to date!

These lenses are from  I.Candy  which can be found here!
    Bubble wrapped nicely~

    Without flash!

With flash! They're super vibrant and I adore them. Definitely one of the largest lenses I own and totally noticeable.

Out of all three, these are the second most comfiest.

    Vibrancy: 4.75
    Comfort: 4.5

These ones are from Japanese Candy  !!!

    Super vibrant color

Sorry for my super tired face. It was before Sakuracon so con prep was killing meeeeee. My left eye is the one worn backwards. Right eye is correct way to wear them. As you can see, they're super amazingly vibrant in flash.

These ones are not my most comfy lenses but for a con day, I survived!

    Vibrancy: 5
    Comfort: 4.25

    And that's my big update.
I think I've reviewed all the lenses I own to date.
    What a task.

    Until next time!

    review: Asia-Fashion-Wholesale

I was actually introduced to this site by being a dedicated reader of April Fool Romance ! She's absolutely gorgeous and all her reviews are always super in depth and lovely.

So I decided to take the risk and order from them!
I was definitely pleased and I plan to order from them again.

In total, I paid 15 dollars and I'm really happy!

    What I ordered:

    HOW THEY LOOK ON:

    Okay am I the only one who thinks it's hilarious that these are called 'panty stockings'? ahjadcanfdadf ;___;

I have yet to try these on because I'm not concerned really. They're just detailed fishnet! I'll be sure to post an OOTD later when I wear them out.

and last but certainly my favorite purchase!
    false thigh high tights

    HOW THEY LOOK ON:

I can't explain how much I love these. I want to find more styles/more variety because I just can't get enough. The versatility of thigh highs, yet more secure coverage due to them being tights.
Oh and definitely got way more stares than I was accustomed to.
My guy friend said he caught so many men staring and I was kinda shocked ha ha.

    Then again, they're super sexy!

OOTD with my friend! We're so vain hahaha
I wore this out to a friend's birthday party/coincidentally on the same day as st.patricks so my nails were green!

    That still counts right? orz|||

I'm also wearing my new favorite heels that I found while thrifting, a genuine pair of Vivenne Westwood.

    love love love

    until next time!

I'm a little drunk and I need you now// recent haul

So I decided to picture spam tonight. I had a couple of drinks tonight after work and I also found that upon my return home, two of my parcels had arrived in the mail!

Overjoyed, I took photos and I tried on two items. A pair of bandage leggings, and a pair of false thigh high stockings.
I'm overjoyed at the item quality bought at Asia-fashion-wholesale and I can't wait to purchase from them again. The shipping was also super fast. I bought from them a week ago and I already got it? AMAAAZING.

Also I bought a lipstick from Etude House called 'Bashful Coral' because it was endorsed by my favorite member of SHINee: Jonghyun. Sometimes I am shameless orz||| I haven't swatched it yet, but I might tomorrow! I'm so excited! I hope it can be a dupe for my lost MAC lipstick Ever Hip from the Liberty of London collection released a few years ago.

    Here are my recent snaps!

Bye for now! I'll review more later!
