REVIEW:// aliexpress | finally a hit

Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh have you ever been searching for something for so long that when you finally own it/have it you feel really awesome?

It was like that for me and bandage leggings.
I wanted bandages that were double layer and wouldn't fray the more I wore it

It seemed IMPOSSIBLE to find in stores.
Once I saw a pair on a mannequin at my mall's F21 but they were on hold for someone and the stock was OOS

And then I found aliexpress.

Be careful of online shopping and always check reviews and choose the most reliable seeming one!
Always be wary of credit card protection~

That being said, these are my babies:

STOCK IMAGE I instagrammed:

AND what you get

The material is NOT vinyl/pleather or anything of the sort but it looks like it.

ALSO it's super stretchy fabric so if you're a larger size don't worry!

I've had complaints of people buying bandage leggings and the bandages fraying AS they put them on because they're plus sized

but fret not
these bandages are finished seams AND stretch so there's a lot of give

[I found a solution for the world's curvier fashion forward ladies!]

here's a link to the online store:

naughty naughty, they also sell BM replicas
but if you're strapped for cash and really want to see what a certain design looks like on you rather than on a stock model
then I guess it's okay

MAC// archie's girls collection LAUNCH

Whoa whoa whoa I must have been really keeping off the makeup blogs to not notice today was the launch date for North America [?] of MAC's new collection

Archie's Girls is vibrant fun and super nostalgic for those who read them as a child/teen/even now
The collection swatches beautifully and even if you have some dupes who can resist the packaging?

I'm glad they're doing a bit more daring with colors though. Especially Veronica.

My friend freaked out over them and of course she bought something from the collection.
Got her hands on the Veronica blush which really really suited her darker complexion. It made her cheeks pop and she's super bubbly and fun so the blush made her look that much cuter~ :>
It looks violet in pan but on her it swatches to a deep warm pink.

Her haul today. Pictured if the box, the actual makeup
and a 5 dollar Stitch phone case I talked her into getting.

Here's some snaps of the display at the mall I work at!

I also grabbed a description of the various products. Maybe something will catch your eye?

I myself am staring at the Pearlmatte face powder in 'Veronica's Blush' trying to resist buying it.

Hurry before it runs out! Burnaby's Metrotown MAC has already said they quickly ran out of stock this morning when girls lined up at 10 am [SO EARLY FOR ME] to haul!

REVIEWS:// smashbox sheer focus tinted moisturizer + Chanel Rouge Coco HYDRATING CRÈME LIP COLOUR

Blogging in the wee hours again...I always do this haha
I've finally uploaded the pics so I can do some proper reviews!

First up is Smashbox's Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer

Taken from the SEPHORA website:

What it is:
A vitamin-packed moisturizer with a hint of color.

What it does:
Smashbox Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer is a lightweight, revolutionary sheer color formula for naturally radiant skin. A healthy complexion starts with unique citrus honey ingredients for long-lasting hydration and oil absorption, with UVA/UVB SPF 15 added to guard against future sun damage. Vitamins C and E offer protection against free radicals and antiaging peptides improve elasticity. Skin stays flawless and protected with a smooth, matte finish all day long.

What else you need to know:
The moisturizer does not contain oil, paraben, or fragrance.

Pretty self explanatory. Now if I hadn't tried this at a friend's house before I bought it I never would've taken the plunge since it seems a little steep for a tinted moisturizer.

My skin is dry and tends to get oily if I don't set my makeup properly etc etc

As you can see, I bought the lightest shade because it's what seemed most suited to my face.
My friend has a shade darker so it looked like I had tanned...only my face ffffffff

Swatch on my hand!

Before application: Some red spots and dullness

[no photoshop. happy dayyy]

And after! And set with MAC powder that I've reviewed before in my other entry.

I've been using smashbox for a few weeks now and I love it.
I feel that it really keeps my skin supple and bouncy and I don't need much coverage.
I think it's also been improving my skin because instead of heavy concealer/foundation I just slap this on and some setting powder and I'm ready to go. If I need extra coverage I just put more layers of it on.

I wouldn't recommend this for people with very obvious discoloration/difference in skin texture like acne etc
I feel that it wouldn't cover much but I like it a lot.
I'll repurchase unless I can find something better.
But I doubt it since I'm loving what it's doing for my skin.

My first expensive lipstick! How excitinfg!
One of my dear friends perlevoire has a discount at the store she works at so I grabbed one of these!

Description from the website:
A modern interpretation of classic creme lip colour as an homage to the rich life and legacy of 'Coco' Chanel. Lightweight lip colour glides on for easy application, and features a Hydratendre complex to help soften, soothe and condition lips - even boosting their ability to hold in moisture - for a plumper, smoother and healthier-looking appearance. A range of wearable shades with full-coverage finishes, from matte to pearl to soft shimmer.

The shade I grabbed was Rose Dentelle
I looove it. It's my lips but better shade and it goes with any outfit any occasion
I can't say it's too hydrating because my REVLON lip butters are way better.
This one flakes on my lips but if I layer it with a clear gloss I'm content
I also think that it lasts quite a while for me so I'm happy!

I'm really wanting to try some YSL next but I'm running out of shades to buy zzz

I also have some outfit snaps of a new hairstyle I tried.
Take a high ponytail and amp it up by curling the ends.
Super cute and the high ponytail gives your hair some volume up at top~

OOTD for that day

top: Urban Behavior
cardigan: H&M
leggings: Korea
hair accessory: H&M

I also got a new phoooone but more on that next time!

Night night!
